- Doran remains neutral throughout the war, but swears fealty in the year 300 AC.
- Prince Oberyn Martell is chosen to sit on the Regency Council for King Edric Baratheon until the King comes of age.
353 AC Targaryen Invasion[]
- Though House Martell had once hoped to see the return of the Targaryen dynasty, they are now loyal to the Stag King upon the throne. Their proximity from King’s Landing, however has the Martells unable to reach the capital in time for the war.
- King Raymont orders Lord Martell to watch the Stepstones for any sign of the Targaryens returning to Essos after Daeron flees. Ships go into the Stepstones to watch for the Dragons. Many are either sunk, never to be heard from again or simply see no signs of Daeron’s ships.
368 AC Trade Conflicts[]
- The Dornish Marches erupt in a series of conflicts after Marcher Lords dispute ownership of trade income. In particular, House Swann, as well as other Houses on the shore of the Sea of Dorne, are vying for control of the trade routes to the Free Cities.
- What would normally be settled with words and diplomacy quickly turns violent and grows into a full-on chaos. House Martell and House Baratheon of Storm’s End eventually come to an agreement on behalf of their vassals. Tensions between the Marcher Lords of the Stormlands and Dorne, however, remain very tense up until present day.
